Argentina boss Diego Maradona has stated that he simply cannot do without Carlos Tevez at the World Cup as he looks set to deploy a 4-3-3 formation to take on Nigeria at the weekend.
It had been rumoured that Argentina could overlook the Manchester City striker for their first Group B game, but Tevez has obviously convinced Maradona to ensure he has a spot in the starting eleven.
"I cannot do without Tevez after what I have seen in training", said Maradona. "He is an idol in Argentina and deserves it [a place in the World Cup starting eleven]"
All eyes will be on Maradona’s Argentina to see how they perform after a less than satisfactory qualification campaign.
