While all eyes are on the World Cup, Jose Mourinho is quietly going about reshaping his Real Madrid squad for next season. A key target of Mourinho from the moment he arrived in the Bernabeu hotseat was Aleksandar Kolarov, and now, according to reports from the Spanish press, the Portuguese boss looks to have landed his man.
Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Lazio for the transfer of the 24-year-old Serbian. Currently away at the World Cup, Kolarov is nevertheless expected to quickly agree terms with Los Blancos, and will become a key member of the new look Real Madrid.
The Serbian had previously commented on Real Madrid’s interest by saying that it would be a dream to turn out for the Spanish giants.
