Despite the constant speculation linking him with an imminent move to Barcelona, Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas insists he is “isolated from it all” and that his mind is not focused on “anything else apart from the national team.”
The phenomenal midfielder has been in the middle of a transfer saga between Barca and Arsenal for some time now, but he has shrugged off claims his performances for Spain would suffer, saying to premierleague.com "I have come to play a World Cup, which is the best thing possible for a player, with the same excitement that I had at the World Cup in Germany when I was 19.”
Fabregas will be playing in the World Cup on the back of a highly impressive season with Arsenal, scoring 19 goals and making 19 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.
