With Liverpool still surrounded with uncertainty, speculation has continued over the departure of two of their biggest players. Skipper Steven Gerrard has been constantly linked with a move to Real Madrid, with reports now surfacing on Spanish paper Sport, that mercurial striker Fernando Torres is a target of Barcelona.

Although the Spanish international’s price is currently out of the club’s budget at €70M, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still an option to be used as a bargaining chip. The Swedish striker failed to win over the Barca faithful in his first season, and the thought of Torres partnering new arrival David Villa in attack has the club’s supporters frothing.

Torres is believed to be searching for a way out of Liverpool, following the departure of Rafael Benitez, who brought him to the club, and always had full confidence in his ability.
