According to Catalan daily Sport, Real Madrid are in danger of losing influential defender Sergio Ramos to Chelsea if his contract extension is not sorted out soon. The London club are alleged to be willing to part with massive amounts in order to capture the Spanish international.

Reports claim Chelsea are ready to offer the defender €10M a year and prepared to part with €70M in order for Real Madrid to agree to the transfer. Although Los Blancos are not looking to let go of a key figure in their squad, the Premier League club’s offer will provide a massive profit, as Ramos was acquired from Sevilla for only €27M.

The Spanish international’s contract has not improved since he joined Real in 2006, meaning he is making €3M per year. As a major proponent in the team at present however, Ramos feels he is being undervalued by the Madrid club, and could be tempted to move elsewhere.
