According to reports in French paper Le Parisien, Manchester City are tracking Olympique Marseille player Lucho Gonzalez, who had a very successful season with the Ligue 1 club. Despite an impressive campaign, the Argentinean was excluded from Diego Maradona’s World Cup squad, and is currently on holiday.
The former Porto playmaker transferred to OM for €18M last summer, with his hefty price tag an indicator of his quality in midfield. Having won the league with his new club, it is believed the 29-year-old isn’t looking for a new team, making it difficult for Man City to tempt the player to the Premier League.
Being mega-rich however, Man City could still land the coveted midfielder, but the cost will be anything but cheap.
