Goalscorer in the shock Swiss win over Spain at the World Cup, midfielder Gelson Fernandes appears to have sparked interest in his services from two Italian sides. Currently in France with Saint Etienne, Fernandes is now tracked closely by Genoa and Palermo.
The 23-year-old, who had a brief spell with English side Manchester City before moving to France, is under contract with Saint Etienne until 2013 and the Ligue 1 side would like to retain his services.
However, with two Serie A clubs interested, it is believed the French would agree to part with their Swiss star if an offer of €6M was forthcoming.
