English side Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly showing an interest in Bordeaux’s Benoit Tremoulinas as they bid to strengthen their side ahead of Champions League football at White Hart Lane next season. The 24-year-old left back has been on the radar of AC Milan, Juventus, Real Madrid and Fiorentina at points in his career, but has remained committed to Bordeaux.

According to Le Parisien, Tremoulinas will soon meet with new Bordeaux boss Jean Tigana to discuss his future at the Ligue 1 side. While Tigana will be keen to hold on to the left back, the defender is sure to want to weigh up the plans of the new coach following a poor 6th place finish last season.

Under contract until 2013, Tremoulinas would not come cheap for Spurs, but their interest in the player is understandable. The left back is one of the finest attacking full backs in all France and regularly provides assists in the final third, while being solid in his defensive duties.
