New Barcelona president Sandro Rossell is confident that Cesc Fabregas will be turning out at the Camp Nou next season according to a report from Catalan daily Sport. Rossell though has taken note of a general feeling amongst the Barcelona faithful that while Fabregas should arrive, it should not be for an inflated price.

Sources in Spain suggest that Arsenal did not take kindly to Barcelona trying to conclude a deal for Fabregas before the World Cup, even though it was the wish of the player himself to have his future sorted out before the showpiece event in South Africa. Arsenal though, felt a good World Cup display from Fabregas would serve to increase his value.

Rossell, who has spoken to all the Barcelona players at Spain’s training camp via mobile phone, is keen to tie up a deal for Fabregas sooner rather than later. The Arsenal midfielder has also been reassured of Barcelona’s determination to make his dream move come true.

However, it still remains unlikely that the Camp Nou giants will part with anything over €40M for Fabregas’s services.
