Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has insisted he has no plans to leave Liverpool, despite the uncertainty that surrounds the club’s future. The Reds currently have no manager after the departure of Rafael Benitez, with his move to Inter Milan creating plenty of speculation of mass exits among the team’s key players as well.

"I have no thoughts about leaving Liverpool," said Agger on the league’s official website. "I have a four-year contract, I intend to stay and I want to stay, no matter who the manager is. Of course, I hope it’s a manager who believes in me. I have to show what I can do, I know that. I like Liverpool as a club, I like Liverpool as a city, I have no reason to leave."

The 25-year-old made 36 appearances for Liverpool last season, scoring a single goal.
