Outgoing Barcelona president Joan Laporta has expressed his confidence that Cesc Fabregas will be plying his trade at the Camp Nou next season. Despite Arsenal’s statements claiming their insistence to keep their influential skipper, the Catalan side are still quietly confident they will eventually win the battle.
“Arsenal will eventually give in, but I do not know when it will be,” Laporta told Catalan daily Sport. “We have to wait and let the professionals do their job.” The president also claimed Sandro Rosell, his replacement as president, will continue the plan to bring Fabregas back to Barcelona should he not be confirmed before his tenure ends.
Despite the Gunners’ resolve to keep their talismanic captain, it seems Fabregas’ desire to leave the North London club has Barca brimming with confidence over his eventual transfer.
