Fernando Torres may have yet to find the back of the net at the World Cup in South Africa so far, but Spain boss Vicente del Bosque is not too concerned. Instead, the Spanish tactician has expressed his confidence that the striker will prove his worth as the tournament progresses.
“Fernando is a great player, he really knows how to play on the limits of offside," Del Bosque claimed on the Liverpool’s official website. “He has just recovered from an injury but he looks in top form physically. Let’s hope in the next match he can do more sterling work for our side."
The Liverpool striker made his first start for La Roja yesterday after undergoing knee surgery at the back end of last season, completing 70 minutes.
