World Cup favourites Spain recovered from their shock opening match defeat to Switzerland by dominating Honduras en route to a 2-0 victory, but coach Vicente del Bosque is far from getting carried away by his side’s performance.

We certainly paved the way for the third group match against Chile, but this hasn’t been a great match,” the Spanish manager said after his side’s win. “We had glorious opportunities, many opportunities. We should have won the game by more goals so I’m not entirely satisfied.”

A David Villa brace ensured Spain still have their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the World Cup in their own hands. Should they prove victorious over Chile in their final group match, they will almost certainly be in the next round.
