28-year-old Stephen Hunt, who completed his switch to Wolverhampton Wanderers from relegated side Hull City yesterday, claims it was the faith shown in him by coach Mick McCarthy and the rest of the Wolves management that made his decision to make the move very easy.
“Of course it has helped,” Hunt said on premierleague.com regarding Wolves’ desire to sign him. “When Wolves came in, and obviously I’m not fit yet, they put so much faith in me and you think ‘to be honest they really want me and I really want to go there’. I always wanted to come here anyway, it’s job done to an extent,” the Irishman concluded.
Hunt joins Wolves on a three-year deal, with a transfer fee that has been undisclosed.
