Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that Bulgarian international Martin Petrov has agreed terms to join the club from Manchester City. The 31-year-old joins the Whites on a free transfer, having completed his three-year contract at Eastlands.
Petrov is a very experienced winger, with previous stints at such clubs as Wolfsburg and Atletico Madrid before joining Man City. Although highly dependable and effective, his troublesome knee problems have kept him from enjoying extended spells in the starting XI.
Having joined a club where first team opportunities are easier to come by, Petrov will have a chance to prove his ability to conquer fitness problems and shine at a club that will value his quality.
