Reports from Spain are suggesting that Valencia have agreed a deal to allow David Silva to move to English side Manchester City. The 24-year-old ranks as one of the hottest prospects in world football, with many believing the Spaniard can go on to establish himself as one of the best wingers of all time.
Spanish radio station Onda Cero has confirmed that Los Che have reached a deal in principle with Roberto Mancini’s side which will allow them to open negotiations with Silva. Currently in South Africa with the Spain World Cup squad, it is likely City will have to wait until their elimination to have a detailed discussion with the winger. It has been suggested, from sources close to the player, that Silva is not sold on the idea of heading to Eastlands and will require sufficient persuasion.
David Silva was also interesting both Chelsea and Real Madrid, and a late bid from either cannot be ruled out, nor can his continuing at Valencia, despite their economic need to sell.
