Reports in France suggest that Paris Saint-Germain are the latest side to show real interest in Paraguay striker Nelson Valdez. The 26-year-old is currently at the World Cup with his national team, but a small war for his signature is expected to begin once he arrives home.
Currently at Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, Valdez is thought to be available at the right price, an opportunity which has alerted PSG, who themselves are long time admirers of the forward. Indeed, the French club have been confirmed as holding an interest by Valdez’s representative January Dreyer, who told France Football: "Yes, Paris has expressed an interest".
The Ligue 1 side will face opposition for the Paraguayan’s signature though, with Hoffenheim and several English clubs believed to be monitoring the situation.
