Despite interest from across Europe and several problems with the player last season, Inter are determined to hold onto young striker Mario Balotelli. Widely thought to be on his way out of the San Siro this summer, Balotelli could spring one of the surprises of the transfer window just by remaining with the European Champions.
Inter president Massimo Moratti believes that Balotelli has a huge amount of potential and could yet settle down under the leadership of new coach Rafael Benitez. Given this, sources in Italy suggest Moratti will not entertain any bids for Balotelli unless they are of a crazy amount that could simply not be refused.
For his part Balotelli will see next season as the chance to start his Inter career with a clean slate and will take heart from the fact that new coach Benitez greatly values his talent.
