AC Milan are still keen on Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but first must raise funds to be able to finance a bid. The Spanish giants have been consistent in their demand of wanting at least €50M for the Swede. However, in addition to raising the fee, first a high wage earner will need to be offloaded, otherwise Ibrahimovic’s salary could not be added to the Rossoneri wage bill.
In order to do this Milan have, according to Corriere dello Sport, even considered selling Brazilian wizard Ronaldinho. English side Tottenham Hotspur were reported to have offered €25M for the former Barcelona star, but Milan rejected the bid. Privately, the Rossoneri would consider taking €36M for Ronaldinho and instantly put that to use in the pursuit of Ibrahimovic.
Another star for the chop at the San Siro could well be Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who has done little to persuade Milan that he is worth keeping on for next season. A move to Germany looks the most likely for the former Real Madrid flop.
