Central defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy has ended his short spell at Spanish giants Barcelona by completing a move back to his old club Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian is believed to have cost his former side €15M.
Chygrynskiy struggled at times last season and generally looked a little off the pace in La Liga, however Barcelona deny that he has been sold because of poor performances. Apparently the Camp Nou club are suffering some short term liquidity issues with their cash flow and decided to allow Shakhtar to take their former defender back to the Ukraine.
The 23-year-old clocked up 14 appearances with Barcelona and will be a welcome addition for old side Shakhtar as they look to beat rivals Dynamo Kyiv to the Ukrainian title and make a splash in Europe.
