Despite repeated comments that they would be happy to keep Mario Balotelli at the San Siro, Inter could yet decide to cash in on the youngster according to Gazetta dello Sport.

The 19-year-old striker had a troubled season with the European Champions last season and was hoping for a fresh start under new coach Rafael Benitez. Balotelli has also remained a favourite of president Massimo Moratti.

Given this, Balotelli would not come cheap for any interested club, and heading the interested parties are Manchester City and Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to have let it be known he would pay €30M for Balotelli, a fee rivals City could beat.

For his part, president Moratti is thought to want between €35-40M to sanction the striker’s departure.
