As Holland lost the World Cup final to Spain, 1-0 after extra time, Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk admitted the better side won, but also criticised the performance of English referee Howard Webb.
"Robben had two good chances", said Van Marwijk, "but Spain had more.
"I do not want to talk about the referee, but he should have given us a corner at the end of the match and given a second yellow card to [at least one] Spaniard and then he would have been sent off."
The Dutch boss was clear though that despite his grumbles and his team’s feeling that they could have done better, "Spain was the best side."
