Despite much speculation to the contrary, Liverpool have yet to receive a bid for Javier Mascherano. The little Argentine has made no secret of his desire to follow Rafael Benitez to Inter this summer and the Italians are still expected to make an offer at some point. But, Mascherano’s agent Walter Tamer said they have not done so yet.
"If Benitez wants Javier he knows what to do", Tamer told Calcio Mercato. "At the moment, however, there is no negotiation, as we have not received any offer from Inter."
It remains to be seen whether Mascherano will formally ask to leave Anfield once he returns to training. For the moment, the Argentina star is on holiday and has had no meeting with new Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson.
