Real Madrid stalwart Guti seems closer than ever to a move to Turkish giants Besiktas after Marseille revealed that they turned down the chance to sign the midfielder. Guti, looking for guaranteed playing time as he moves towards the end of his career, is set to exit the Bernabeu this summer.
Marseille confirmed to 10 Sport that they had been approached to see whether they would be interested in speaking to Guti about a move. The answer was not positive though.
The French club’s sporting director Jose Anigo confirmed the approach, but said: "Whether [from a] sporting or financial view, [Guti] does not interest us."
It now seems just a matter of time until Guti heads to Istanbul.
