Inter are moving closer to selling Mario Balotelli to Man City for €35M and when the money is received the European Champions will instantly put it to use. Rafael Benitez is keen to snap up Javier Mascherano from former club Liverpool and selling Balotelli will help to bag the Argentina midfielder.
The Italians’ only concern is that Manchester City may choose to conclude a swoop for Edin Dzeko ahead of Balotelli and, having been told €40M would secure the Bosnian hitman, there is very little difference between the two. Of course, the possibility of the Eastlands club buying both strikers is not out of the question.
Reports from Italy though suggest Balotelli’s move to City could be completed swiftly, given Benitez reason to push on with his move for Mascherano.
