Inter’s Argentine striker Diego Milito has expressed his pleasure that his international team-mate Javier Mascherano wants to move to the San Siro. Milito, who lined up alongside Mascherano at the recent World Cup, believes the Liverpool midfielder would make a great addition to Inter’s squad.

"We are excited that Mascherano is likely to come", Milito said to the Mail on Sunday. "I think he has already made it clear that he wants to come to us, and now it’s about having to close the deal."

Mascherano is not likely to come cheap for Inter, despite Liverpool knowing the midfielder is desperate to make the move. The Anfield club are expected to demand at least £30M from the Italian giants to let their enforcer leave.
