Reports from France suggest Lille are looking to sell their winger Gervinho, eager to cash in on his inflated value following some good performances at the World Cup with the Ivory Coast. For his part, Gervinho is also open to offers and the chance to move to a bigger club.
The Ligue 1 side are keen to sell Gervinho to the highest bidder and a figure of some €12M has been mooted. It is also known that Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is a fan of the Ivory Coast man and, searching for real pace to add to the Anfield frontline, could believe Gervinho fits the bill.
Any move would mean the 23-year-old’s stay at Lille would have been a brief one, having only joined the club last year.
