French midfielder Mathieu Berson could be heading to Greece if reports from L’Equipe are to be believed. The former Aston Villa star, now playing at Ligue 1 side Toulouse, is interesting Greek side Xanthi and could well fancy a move.
Berson arrived at Toulouse in 2008 after a spell with Spanish side Levante and was at one time earmarked for big things in the game. A move from Nantes to Aston Villa did not work out however, and his career was soon on the wane.
A move to Xanthi could provide Berson with the chance of scenery he needs to get his career back on track.
