Thierry Henry scored on his debut for New York Red Bulls last night, but the MLS side still slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. The former Barcelona star was delighted to get off the mark and looked as sharp as ever at the Red Bull Arena.

"The goals will come", said Henry as he spoke after the friendly. "Our home stadium in New Jersey was awesome. Every time I touched the ball I could hear the rumble from the crowd. It feels good, it feels like home."

The MLS side will be counting on Henry to form what could be a lethal partnership up front with former Aston Villa forward Juan Pablo Angel, and his form in his first outing for the club will be very encouraging.
