Manchester City are believed to be close to completing a deal for Mario Balotelli. Several sources in Italy have reported that City have finally agreed a fee with Inter for the young striker’s services, settling on a deal worth some €40M.

Inter are expected to finally do the deal for Balotelli in the United States, where the Nerazzurri are heading for their summer tour. With Manchester City also in North America, the deal is expected to proceed swiftly and Balotelli will not play any part in Inter’s friendlies so as not to put at risk the move.

It was also reported that Balotelli’s friends threw the striker a surprise party yesterday in Milan, before the Inter star was due to head to America, in order to say goodbye. All in all, the signs point to a deal with Man City being very close.
