Auxerre, AEK Athens and Olympiacos are engaged in a transfer chase for Paris Saint-Germain outcast Jerome Rothen. According to reliable Paris daily Le Parisien, Rothen has been told he does not feature in the plans of coach Antoine Kombouare and is free to find another club.
The 32-year-old winger has had a troubled few years. Upon his arrival in Paris from Monaco the winger was highly rated and PSG had hopes he would become a key player for the club. Unfortunately, Rothen’s career has declined in recent seasons and loan spells with Scottish side Rangers and Turkish club Ankaragucu have not seen him rediscover his earlier form.
It appears now though that Rothen will have the choice of three clubs to relaunch his career and the Frenchman should make a decision soon.
