Cameroon have appointed their new national team coach by settling on Spanish manager Javier Clemente. The 60-year-old has significant experience of international football, having coached both his native Spain and also more recently Serbia.
The African giants were looking for a new boss after parting company with Paul Le Guen following a disappointing World Cup in South Africa. Clemente was offered and has signed a two-year deal which will take him up to the next African Nations Cup. Should he impress then there is every chance the Spaniard will be given the chance to lead Cameroon to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Former Spain boss Clemente recently came close to agreeing to take over the national side of Iran, but Cameroon appears a much better fit.
