Manchester City’s Brazilian outcast Robinho has revealed that he won’t be heading to Turkey to join Besiktas or Fenerbahce. The Black Eagles were readying a deal with the Premier League side, while Fenerbahce too made an offer and were hopeful of announcing the coup of the summer. Robinho though has put a stop to the proposed move.
"With all due respect to Turkish football, and to Fenerbahce, who were the only club to make an official offer, I have already decided that I’m not going to play there", Robinho told Rede Globo.
The striker went on to say that negotiations were constantly in progress however, and he was likely to seal a move away from Eastlands. A move though, would only be to a league of comparable standard to the Premier League.
"There is a negotiation in progress, but I can still not anticipate anything. In a week many things can happen. The only thing I can say with certainty is that I will play in Italy or Spain."
