After much speculation David Trezeguet has ended his 10-year stint with Juventus to join newly promoted Spanish side Hercules. The move was completed yesterday after the 32-year-old striker came to a mutual agreement with the Old Lady.
Trezeguet, who enjoyed a fruitful decade with Juventus where he scored 171 goals, left the club on a free transfer after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
In a farewell message on Juventus’ official website Chairman Agnelli highlights the great achievements of Juventus’ highest scoring foreign striker: "I’ve been, like all Juventus supporters, deeply keen on David (…). A player with an average of 17 goals a season does not need any further comments. It’s been a real love affair, David will always be in the heart of all us Juventus’ supporters."
Trezeguet who was also on Real Zaragoza’s wishlist this summer, will be happy to have completed the move to the Alicante club as he has family ties in this region.
