La Liga giants Barcelona have confirmed that they have loaned out defender Martin Caceres to rivals Sevilla until the end of the season. The 23-year-old centre back spent last season on loan in Italy with Juventus and was bound to find first team football hard to come by at the Camp Nou this year.
Sevilla have negotiated to have a purchase clause included in Caceres’ loan deal, so the Spaniards can make the move permanent should the Uruguayan impress during his time at the club.
Caceres saw his time at Juventus interrupted by injuries last season and will be keen to enjoy a spell of regular first team action with Sevilla.
