Georgian defender Kakha Kaladze has ended his long association with AC Milan by moving to Serie A rivals Genoa. The 32-year-old joined Milan in 2001 from Dynamo Kyiv and made nearly 200 appearances for the Rossoneri.
Kaladze has inked a deal for two years with Genoa and will hope to enjoy more first team football than he managed at Milan in the last two years; Kaladze made just 26 appearances in the last two seasons with the San Siro side.
Genoa will hope that the Georgian’s experience will help them to push for a Champions League spot in the Italian league this year and it is a competition Kaladze will be keen to play in again having won it twice, in 2003 and 2007.
