Inter president Massimo Moratti has said that the rumours linking the Nerazzurri with a move for Kaka in the January transfer window have not come from him. Moratti also said, contrary to reports in the Italian press, that he has not spoken to Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho about any deal.
However, the Inter supremo described the linking of Kaka to his club as a "wonderful idea" and Moratti is widely believed to be disappointed to have seen Zlatan Ibrahimovic join rivals AC Milan in the summer. The signing of Kaka would be the perfect riposte to the Rossoneri, but promises to be a complex deal.
Kaka would undoubtedly cost Inter many millions and there is as yet no firm word from Real Madrid over his potential availability. Indeed, the powers that be at the Bernabeu believe that injuries have so far stopped them seeing the best of Kaka who is, currently, out with another injury.
