Legendary Brazilian striker Ronaldo is being offered the chance to end his career in Australia with Melbourne Heart. Currently turning out in Brazil with Corinthians, the Australian side hope that €70,000 per game could convince Ronaldo to make the move to the A-League.
Ronaldo has suffered with injury problems throughout his career, but would presumably have little difficulty performing in the A-League. Melbourne Heart for their part, as a new club this season, would hope the presence of the Brazilian would not just boost their league standing, but also their attendance levels.
However, the Australian club’s chief executive Scott Munn warned that any deal was only at an "embryonic stage", but that they had held "conversations with Ronaldo in relation to a possible stint with us."
