Manchester United are believed to be keeping tabs on Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll. Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly been impressed with Carroll’s development and thinks he could be a good fit for the Red Devils.
Ferguson has watched on as Tottenham Hotspur have expressed the most interest in the 21-year-old, but Newcastle have let the London club know that their homegrown striker is not for sale.
The situation could be different were Ferguson to make Man Utd’s interest known though, and Carroll would find it hard to snub a move from Old Trafford. Carroll though would not come cheaply and Newcastle can be expected to demand at least £14M for their young talent.
