Barcelona are keen to extend young star Bojan Krkic’s contract and will soon open talks with the player. The 20-year-old is now well established as a part of the Camp Nou squad, and coach Josep Guardiola wants to confirm his long-term stay.
Catalan program ‘Grandstand’ on ONA FM confirmed that Barcelona are looking to increase the youngster’s contract until 2015. Currently Krkic’s deal with the Camp Nou side expires in 2013 and several rival sides have been watching developments closely.
Last season Krkic, who has one senior Spanish cap to his name, appeared 23 times for Barcelona, scoring eight goals. He is expected to play an even bigger part in the club’s La Liga title defence this season.
