Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov has pointed to the positive attitude of his team-mates and manager as a major reason behind his good form. The Bulgarian has been on fire for the Premier League giants so far this season and is well aware that there were those who had already written off his Old Trafford career as a failure.

"It is important to have belief all the time", Berbatov explained to MUTV. "Not only when you score goals, but also when you’re down as well because every player goes through difficult times in his career.

"Sometimes you underestimate yourself and start thinking bad things that you’re not supposed to. But your team-mates and your manager can help you, even if it’s just to say ‘hi, how are you?’. Sometimes the smaller things are the most important things."

With the current poor form of team-mate Wayne Rooney, it is likely Berbatov will have to continue producing the goods for Man Utd and the Bulgarian has arguably never been under more pressure.
