Brazilian striker Keirrison, currently on loan from Barcelona at Santos, has declared his desire to return to the Camp Nou and become a success. Since being signed by the Spanish giants in 2009, Keirrison has been shipped out on loan to Benfica, Fiorentina and Santos, but has not stopped thinking about a return to Barcelona.
"My desire is to return to Barcelona someday, back to Europe, and succeed there", Keirrison told Globo Esporte. "I’ve always wanted [to succeed in Europe], but I know I must have patience. There is no need to rush, I’m still young."
The 21-year-old was expected to enjoy more playing time at his last European club, Fiorentina, than he had at Benfica, but a loan spell in Italy did not work out quite as planned.
"At Fiorentina, I played a little more [than at Benfica] and scored two goals, one on my debut. Cesare Prandelli, the Italian coach now, trusted me, but it was difficult for me to play because of [Alberto] Gilardino."
