Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has promised the club’s fans that he will be focused on winning the Copa del Rey. Los Blancos were dumped out of the competition last season by lowly Alcorcon and, amazingly, it is now some 17 years since the Madrid giants last lifted the Spanish Cup. Mourinho however, is determined to change that.

"17 years is too long for Madrid not to have won the cup. This does not seem normal, but it is true. Some people do not value the cup, but I do value it", said Mourinho.

The Portuguese did confirm though that he would rotate the team to a certain extent for tonight’s meeting with Real Murcia, explaining that some players do need a rest. One of those who will miss out is goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who is expected to be replaced by Jerzy Dudek.
