Bayern Munich full back Philipp Lahm has made good on his promise to commit his future to the Bundesliga giants. The Germany international, whose current contract with Bayern was due to run out in 2012, has put pen to paper on a new contract to keep him at the club until 2016.
Lahm has previously stated that he sees no reason to leave Bayern Munich and considers it an honour to represent the German side. Given that the full back is now under contract for six more years, there is every chance Lahm will end his career at the Allianz Arena.
The Bayern Munich youth product has clocked up 201 Bundesliga appearances and has managed six goals,.
