Roque Santa Cruz has revealed that he is disappointed he will be forced to leave Manchester City when the winter transfer window opens. The Paraguayan striker has struggled for playing time since Roberto Mancini drafted in a wave of new frontmen and has been told he can exit Eastlands if he can find a new club.

The striker almost moved to Lazio in the summer, and the Rome side at the time vowed to return to him in the January transfer window. Santa Cruz himself has also spoken about his dream of playing in La Liga.

"I can’t see myself playing in the team and that’s frustrating"
, Santa Cruz told BBC Radio 5. "When the boss does not believe in you then you can’t push him to do so."

He also confirmed that he will leave in January, stating that "once the time comes I’ll have to look at my options of playing somewhere else. There is no alternative."
