Lyon midfielder Jeremy Toulalan’s agent believes his client will sign a contract extension at the Stade Gerland, but if Fiorentina were to make an attractive offer then the 27-year-old would not be opposed to the move.

La Viola have held an interest in the Frenchman for some time and have tried repeatedly to convince Lyon to part with Toulalan, but so far with no success. And while Toulalan’s agent Michael Manuello is not aware of a new bid from the Serie A club, he insisted that they should feel free to call him at any time.

"Personally I have not been contacted by La Viola. I do not if they talked to someone else, but it interests me to a certain point because the question is broader", said Manuello.

"The player, whose contract with Lyon expires in June 2012, is about to renew and if he does he will remain with his current club. Of course, if Fiorentina were to call me tomorrow and give me a concrete proposal, it could also be considered, but at present he is more likely to renew."

And the agent admitted that he is aware that Fiorentina admire Toulalan and have tried before to sign his client.

"He’s still a player who has always interested La Viola. A year and a half ago they tried persistently, but there were no conditions for his transfer."
