Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has urged the club’s board not to act in haste over coach Luigi Delneri, arguing now is not the time to make decisions over the 60-year-old’s future in Turin.
The Old Lady lost 2-0 at home to Bologna on Saturday, a result which has further heaped considerable pressure upon Delneri, with large sections of the club’s support losing faith in their manager. But now is not the time to make a decision believes Buffon.
"I am aware of the fact that our coach, Luigi Delneri is criticised by most of our fans and by our media, but I think he should remain until at least the end of the season", said Buffon.
"Changes should be made in the summer, not now."
