Serie A side Udinese are looking closely at the possibility of moving for Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen after the player’s comments that he could not rule out a move from current club Liverpool.
Poulsen was brought to Anfield by then-boss Roy Hodgson, but quickly fell foul of the club’s fans with a series of ponderous displays in the middle of the park, combined with his status as a Hodgson signing.
The Dane’s stock however remains high, after notable spells with Sevilla and Juventus in the last few years. Poulsen offers the calming midfield influence that Udinese may feel they need given the chances of them playing European football next season are high.
Poulsen would cost around £3M.
