Ukraine star Anatoily Tymoshchuk has been presented with a dilemma by serious interest from Russian giants Rubin Kazan. The 31-year-old, who is currently plying his trade with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, is thought to be seriously tempted by Rubin’s proposal.
At the Allianz Arena since 2009, Tymoshchuk must decide whether to extend his stay in Germany by another year, or head to Russia, where Rubin will make him a lucrative offer and hold the promise of trying to win back the Russian Premier League title that they lost to Zenit St. Petersburg last season.
Tymoshchuk played in Russia between 2007 and 2009, having moved to Zenit from his native Ukraine. The defensive midfielder-cum centre back’s stock remains high and should Rubin snap him up it would represent something of a coup.
