Despite crushing Leyton Orient 5-0 in the FA Cup last night, to set up a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the quarter-final, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still prioritising the Premier League.

Having lost the Carling Cup final to Birmingham City last Sunday, it was essential that the Gunners bounced back and fellow London side Leyton Orient were given precious little chance at the Emirates Stadium. The FA Cup though, is not the main thing on Wenger’s mind.

"The league is a vital race for us", said the Frenchman post-match. "For us, the most important one."

And with United having lost away to Chelsea on Tuesday, and with Liverpool to come before an eventual second game against Chelsea, Wenger is encouraged, believed that the league "will be interesting until the end of the season."

Next up for Arsenal is the visit of Sunderland who, despite enduring a poor spell, still remain competitive opponents and are aiming for a Europa League spot.
